Setup your Brother QL-820NWB printer
Please note: Greetly works with the Brother printer model QL-820NWB and with DK-1202 labels. IMPORTANT: The sample labels shipped with the Brother printer are DK-2205. The printer will not respond unless the correct labels are used. <--
- Remove the printer from the box. You can recycle Brother's instruction manual as the steps below will provide all of the information you need to complete your setup.
- Attach the black power cord into the printer and a power outlet.
- Press the power button to turn on the printer. Ensure the green status light goes ahead.
- Utilize the [▲], [▼] and [OK] buttons to set your language, the time and date.
- If necessary, press the [MENU] button to return to the printer's Main display screen.
- Utilize the [▲] and [▼] buttons to choose Template Settings. Set Template Mode to OFF.
- If necessary, press the [MENU] button to return to the printer's Main display screen.
- Utilize the [▲] and [▼] buttons to choose Settings. Select 'Auto Power Off' > Adapter to OFF.

Connect your iPad and printer via Bluetooth (both devices should be connected to the same WIFI)
- Utilize the [▲] and [▼] buttons to choose BLUETOOTH > BLUETOOTH (On/Off) > Turn On BLUETOOTH in the settings menu. Press [OK].

Utilize the [▲] and [▼] buttons to choose BLUETOOTH > Automatic Reconnection (On/Off) > On in the settings menu. Press [OK].

From the iPad's home screen, tap > Settings > Bluetooth
- Toggle Bluetooth on.
- Under "Other Devices" you should see your printer labeled as QL-820NWBXXXX.
- Tap on the printer. It will move to "My Devices" and say "Connected".
Turn on visitor badge printing
- Visit the Greetly web-based admin > Check-In Options.
- For the visitor workflow, or workflows, that you want to print visitor badges, click Edit Button Options > scroll towards the bottom and on the left side of the screen toggle ON "Do you want to print a badge for the visitor"?
- If you click to "Customize Badge Settings", make sure to leave the IP address empty.

**Please note that you cannot reprint badges manually
Test printing
NOTE: Greetly works with Brother DK-1202 or equivalent labels. The sample labels that come with the printer are a different model. Before testing, make sure you have the correct labels.
You have two options for testing your setup:
- On your iPad, open the Greetly app, and check in as a visitor. A badge will print a couple of seconds after you complete the check-in workflow.
- On your iPad, press and hold your logo. A secret menu will open. Click "Test Printer" and a badge will print.
And just like that everyone will be able to recognize and greet your guests.
