Important: Ensure you include the @ symbol when you enter the Slack handle.
If you have the correct handle and are not getting Slack notifications you'll need to delete the Slack handle and let our system find the correct one.
First, make sure you or your system admin followed all of the steps from "How do I find my user's Slack Handle and Member ID?" to make sure you have the correct Slack handle.
If you have the correct handle and are not getting Slack notifications you'll need to delete the Slack handle and let our system find the correct one.
Here's how to do it:
- When you are on the edit user page, clear the Slack handle for that user and hit the "Save" button.
- Run a test check-in to that host. Greetly will automatically fetch the handle from Slack via API and populate it in your accounts Manage User database.
- Once this happens, hit the "Save" button again.
If the Slack handle does not auto-populate, then there might be an issue with your Slack integration.
Please review the steps in "Setup the Greetly<>Slack Integration and Slack Reception Notifications".
